Turmeric, Coconut & Mushroom Chocolate Truffles
Our friends over at Wunder Workshop created this delicious recipe using their Golden Shroom blend which is available on our webshop.
It’s super easy to make, & I’ve added some more tweaks to it to make it even more coconutty!
Give it a try & let me know what you think.
Ingredients for 12 truffles:
Outer chocolate:
80g cacao butter or creamed coconut butter, melted.
100g raw cacao powder
30g coconut sugar
1 tsp Golden Shrooms
Pinch of salt
Inner coconut:
60g desiccated coconut
30g coconut oil
2 tsp turmeric powder
Additional:
1tsp peanut butter or toasted coconut butter (optional)
Description:
1) In an ice cube tray, add your first chocolate layer (you will need the remaining chocolate blend to close the bottom of the truffles). So pour a small amount of the chocolate in the tray and spread this around the mould. Allow to cool in the fridge and make the coconut mixture in the meantime.
2) For the coconut inner, blend all the ingredients, sweeten to taste with coconut nectar.
3) Once the first layer of chocolate has cooled add the coconut filling and press it down so it is a solid block. Then add peanut butter or toasted coconut butter if you wish. Cover and seal off the chocolates with the remaining chocolate.
4) Leave in the fridge for a couple of hours or freezer to speed up the process.
5) Enjoy :)
