National Tea Day 2020

Today is National Tea Day in the UK. ☕️

So just in time for afternoon tea I thought I would share with you one of my favourite, easiest, healthiest, tea 'recipes'.
Turmeric Green Tea is full of antioxidants & of course turmeric is known to have great anti-inflammatory properties. 💛

In a teapot, brew 4 cups of water with a heaped teaspoon of good quality green tea, a teaspoon of turmeric powder & a crack of black pepper. That's it really!
I like to add a cinnamon stick to the teapot too, & sometimes a slice of fresh ginger (or a pinch of ginger powder).
Serve hot, with a slice of lemon if you like, or cold, over ice - whatever you fancy. 😊
Sweeten with coconut nectar or sugar if you need.

Remember you need a good quality organic turmeric powder to reap the benefits (many turmeric powders contain fillers and/or dyes).
